CCM TACKS XR 80 JR shin guards are designed for youth ice hockey, where reliable protection, a comfortable fit, and unrestricted mobility are essential during practice and games. The anatomical TACKS fit hugs the leg closely and helps ensure that the pads remain stable even during changes of direction and in tight game situations.

  • Product Type: Shin guards for ice hockey
  • Fit: Anatomical TACKS fit with a snug, body-hugging design
  • Protection area: Shin and knee
  • Construction: Sturdy design for practice and games
  • Knee area: Reinforced knee cap to absorb impact forces
  • Inner padding: comfortably padded for a pleasant fit
  • Adjustment: adjustable straps for a personalized fit
  • Agegroup: JR

Especially in junior hockey, equipment that provides protection without being unnecessarily bulky is key. This is where this model really shines: The pads fit snugly against the leg, reliably cover high-impact areas, and stay securely in place even when the pace picks up or things get chaotic in front of the net. This benefits young players as well as parents looking for a sturdy, everyday-ready solution for regular hockey play.

To ensure a secure fit, the JR size should be chosen based on the player’s height and the rest of their protective gear.
